“My name is Mr Bill and this story starts with a question from my daughter and son in law back at the first of 2024. The question was “Dad are you interested in having a new puppy.” We already have one dog and his name is Boss. So I answered my kids with a mighty “YES” and at the same time they asked, what kind of puppy would you like? I have really wanted a chocolate Lab for nearly 50 years. I had thoughts of finding one myself and the price tag I kept running into was anywhere from 1700$ up to 5000$ which kept me from buying one. Breeders are really proud of these kind of dogs I guess. I underwent a total knee replacement on feb 28th and my kids had already found a breeder in Dothan Alabama and had bought me a puppy from a litter of at least 10. That’s a lot of kids at one time for any mom. They told me they had got me a chocolate Lab but would not let me have it until I was steady on my feet. On March third they brought Buddy over to meet me and it was love at first sight, for both of us. God gave me the name for my new puppy and that he was to be called Buddy, and that is exactly what he is, my Buddy. He is very cute, smart and for the purebred folks, he is all of high quality when it comes to chocolate Labs. He loves to play fetch and will play as long as you can last. I am teaching him to ride in my kayak, to go hiking and hopefully very soon I will wow my hunting buddies and Buddy will learn to track a wounded deer and he will have his first job. Buddy is now almost six months old and is completely healthy, happy and could not be a better friend to me. He follows me everywhere, goes everywhere and loves the water. People have already asked me where I got this puppy and I have pointed them to the only breeder I would recommend for this breed of dogs and that is Southern Belle Kennels, Isabella. One day soon I will thank Isabella in person when I drive to Dothan on purpose just to thank her for bringing Buddy into this world so that he would get into my arms and we both would grow old together. My name is Jeannie E. I purchased a puppy from Southern Belle Kennels (Isabella) about 4 1/2 months ago in Feb 2024. My beautiful boy Beau/Boho just turned 6 months old. He is so beautiful, sweet, and amazing!!!

I am 59 years old in just a few days. I have been married for 41 years and have 2 grown children and a 3-year-old grandson, with a granddaughter due in Oct. Our family has always had dogs, mostly German Shepherds. However, I have always loved Labs and more specifically Choc Labs. They are just so beautiful!

When our children grew up and married and started their adult families, they both took their 4-legged babies with them. We are blessed that both children live on our little farm, each in their own homes now. So I still get to see the “grandpets” that are theirs, they just don’t live in our home anymore.

At first, my husband & I thought we would enjoy being empty nesters, not having pets of our own. But, after a while, I realized I really missed the sound of 4-legged paws running around the house, wet nose kisses, and constant companionship. The house was really quiet at times. TOO QUIET!!!! I began to think about getting a puppy.

I have always dreamed of a Choc Lab but didn’t think I could ever have one of my own. Well, long story short, my daughter happened to meet Isabella and fell in love with her puppies. Isabella had 3 puppies left from a big litter of like 10 or 12, I think. One evening, my daughter called me and said, “Mom, you’re not going to believe this, I found you a perfect lab puppy!” She asked if I wanted to come see them. It was getting late, so we made arrangements to meet the next morning.

Oh, and did I mention they were CHOCOLATE labs!!!!!!! 🥰 Oh, be still my heart. Time passed so slowly from that evening until the next morning. lol I was so excited; I don’t think I slept very much at all.

We drove up in the driveway, and there were 3 of the cutest puppies I have ever seen. My daughter had already said which one she thought I would like. However, when the car stopped and my door opened, 1 puppy looked up and ran (not walked 🥰) ran to me!!!! That was it, he picked me! And I fell in love with him at that moment. My Boho boy!

That day I became the very proud owner of Beau/Boho Asher. He is 6 months old and weighs 77 lbs. He is healthy and the sweetest boy.

There are not enough words to express how grateful I am to Isabella. She is amazing!!! Truly, she goes above and beyond to care for and breed her dogs to produce the healthiest, smartest, most good-natured, gentle, beautiful puppies. She is so sweet and kind and is ready to answer any questions. She devotes her all to giving us, the adoptive parents of these little bundles of love, the best 4-legged family member she can. Her puppies are very beautiful, healthy, and happy.

My Beau is my constant companion; he lives inside and has never had one accident in the house. He knows all the simple commands and has met every milestone he should as a growing puppy. His temperament is exceptional, and he is so gentle around my husband and 3-year-old grandson. He seems to just know to be gentle. He is my “Gentle Giant!”
